More pets

Noah loves animals, so we always have bugs and pets around.

We have 2 dogs, 2 cassowary birds that follow us around and even swim with us like dogs, and tropical birds.

We brought in a cat, but it climbed on the house, threatening to rip the screens - so we ate it. Cat...the other gray meat.

Swampy International Airport

Thank God for our water strip. The floatplane now has landed about 5 times here. Much better than 2 full's day's walk to the nearest land strip.

The Little Sweetie and her beloved bannanner plants

She loves nana leaves. She waves them like fans.

Rainy Season has begun

Favorite activity - sliding and playing in mud. Plenty of opportunity when there is over 14 foot of rainfall per year. Remember, it is a tropical RAINforest, after all.

Noah loves his bugs

I get a big kick out of the wonder and amazement Noah gets out of exploring bugs.

"I'm gonna be a bug scientist" he says.

Swimmy time

Our simple classroom - and a reminder

Two of the evangelists show the daily reading lesson, as well as the reminder that "Jesus is the Light of the World."

Two of my main squeezes in our new kitchen

These pics show Mommy and Alethea well, and also our kitchen and out the back window as well where the tower for our solar panels are located.

Story-time and clowning for the camera

Break out the camera and an endearing photo of a father reading to his children becomes a chance to clown and look silly.

We need a hidden camera to capture these moments without ruining them.

Sampling local cuisine

I followed the locals around and learned how to locate spider holes, and dig them out and grab them so they don't bite you. Cooking and eating them was the more difficult part ofthe lesson.

Talking shop in my new house

I love my newly varnished floors.

We still need some furniture...and some curtains to shut the windows because people are constantly peeping in.

Here I am talking strategy with local evangelists.

Me in my village

Hey! What's this guy laughing at????

Is it because the two big foreigners look so tired and sweaty or because we trip all over our feet on the trail?
